The fully automated RainDance ThunderStorm sequencing system can process up to 96 samples simultaneously. A major focus of the design was on creating an open architecture that enables fast and efficient loading and unloading of samples. Since it is a relatively large unit, the colour palette was chosen to make the system appear smaller.
