Translating the functional aspect of ceramic covering material into emotional expressiveness – that is the idea behind this product development. The starting point for the design of the surface is a multi-coloured shale. By grinding and removing of the stone structure, a graphic image of fine, mineral colour gradations is obtained, which serves as motif for the ceramic application process. The ceramic surface created in this way is reminiscent of patinated stone floors.
