nemus CAJALUN

1/2

The modern lightweight construction of bicycles is a highly complex task. Just using light materials alone does not suffice as all components have to be honed and tuned to form a harmoniously balanced unity. The design of the nemus Cajalun opted for a frame made of wood, a material that is rather unusual in the field of bicycle construction. The frame is produced in a large part from thin veneer layers of real wood, lending it a highly natural and organic appearance: the visible wood texture underlines this. The high stability of the Cajalun is due to a material combination with aluminium. Lugs made of high-quality aluminium connect the spiral lightweight wooden tubes to a stable bicycle frame. It is fascinating how the otherwise contrary raw materials of wood and metal complement each other in a harmonious manner to form a holistic aesthetic unity. This innovative combination of materials allowed the Cajalun bicycle to boast a total weight of only nine kilograms, lending it a naturally graceful, elegant appearance that is an eye-catcher in any city. In addition, the use of wood also saves valuable resources, as wood is recyclable and constitutes an environmentally friendly alternative to otherwise energy-intensive materials. The innovative frame also convinces with longevity and a high level of riding comfort. Through the innovative use of materials for the frame construction, this bicycle obtained an appearance of fascinating expressivity.
