Le Madeleine is an emblematic building in the central business district of Paris. The reception area of the entrance lobby is characterised by an organic use of form and the use of Corian and wood. The staircase is enveloped by a massive shell of white Carrara marble. A central, iconic “luminous tree”, made of wood, rises like a futuristic totem pole whose normally nature-dominated shape symbolises “controlled” growth.
