The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is a slim and sleek professional business PC. It references an established use of form using a convincing overall concept and was clearly developed with business use in mind. Depending on which application the user has just called up, the keyboard displays a pre-set range of controls in the form of adaptive keys. Split into four groups – Home, Browser, Conferencing and Function – the keys are then automatically launched by certain applications. This innovative technology offers more control keys to support new functions while simplifying the user interface by presenting controls dynamically as the user needs them.
