Tea-Jane allows users to make tea in a traditional way: first, the teapot is filled with the desired amount of water; then, the tea leaves are brewed with a little water in the upper part of the pot. After the steep time, the richly coloured brew flows into the hot water below to release its full flavour. The tea leaves remain in the strainer so the tea no longer steeps. The tea can be served directly at the table without having to remove the strainer.
