The creation of Plissé was inspired by the idea of taking familiar crystal glass engravings and translating them onto a porcelain vessel. The innovative manufacturing process was developed as part of a collaboration between two companies. Leaving the porcelain factory smooth and glazed, the pieces are then handed to highly skilled master crystal engravers who cut each groove manually. Employing grinding and cutting techniques with diamond-edged wheels, the porcelain surfaces are sculpted to obtain a texture that is highly defined and detailed.
