This modern composite material is manufactured by stacking its basic components in layers and bonding them together to create a solid block. Thin sheets are then sliced from the end face of the block. If transparent material is included in the layers, additional backlighting is possible. Regardless whether on the basis of leather, metal or natural fibres – the composite material is highly flexible and therefore opens up a manifold range of applications.
