The Mk5 ultrasonic thickness gauge measures material thickness using ultrasound. The two-component construction consists of a polycarbonate substrate and a thermoplastic elastomer, making the body very robust, shock-resistant and tightly sealed. The rubberised buttons provide tactile feedback when pressed. The measuring device is available in different versions: with combined end- and front-oriented display, with four or eight buttons and with two connector types.
