Cardboard is a low-cost virtual reality headset for mobile phones. It allows the user to easily explore 3D environments and consume VR content and media. It is made from a single sheet of cardboard and shipped in a flat envelope, reducing manufacturing as well as transport and storage costs. The design templates are freely available on the Internet, which considerably simplifies both industrial manufacture and replication by individuals.
