Mu is the Chinese word for wood. Accordingly, the surface of this teaware features a wood-like texture with the touch and feel of tree bark. The unglazed surface furthermore increases this tactile sensation. The creation of the bark-like surface required the collaboration of designers, wood craftsmen and porcelain manufacturers. The round shape of the teapot and the cups symbolises the good fortune of life.
