The properties of sports aircrafts range from smooth gliding to spectacular aerobatic flight stunts. The innovative concept of the BlackWing sports aircraft is based on over 20 years of research in high-performance aerodynamics. It possesses outstanding flight characteristics and is suitable for basic flight training as well as aerobatics. Both the lines of the main body and the geometry of the wings and horizontal tail are based on hundreds of hours of simulations and wind tunnel testing. It is made of TeXtreme, an extremely strong and very lightweight carbon fibre material made in Sweden, which lends the aircraft high stability while maintaining a low weight. The weave has been left visible under the wings and fuselage, serving as a design element that lends the exterior an aesthetic appearance. Furthermore, the low-cut cockpit canopy is a perfect solution, as it offers an excellent view and makes it easier to enter the aircraft. The spacious interior features ergonomically designed lightweight carbon fibre seats and a large luggage compartment. The clearly arranged and easy-to-survey touchscreen instruments enhance the overall safety and allow for a customisable appearance of the instrumentation. The wings and the horizontal tail are easily detachable for uncomplicated transportation. High expert competence and a sophisticated design based on an innovative choice of materials made the BlackWing emerge as a new type of sports aircraft.
