Béton brut is the French term for exposed concrete. The main characteristic feature of this eponymous, prefabricated garage is how it plays with the “poetry of materiality” of untreated concrete, glass and steel in combination with a minimalist design. Overhead glass block skylights, embedded in concrete, and LED lighting ensure the interior has sufficient light. The ventilation elements, the unfinished form of the roof edge, the “open gutter” drainage and the barely visible technical elements demonstrate a similarly simple and reduced style.
