The 7” display of the Kindle Oasis is weighted so that the centre of gravity is in the palm of the hand, as it is in the case of a printed book. Pages are turned either by screen contact or by dedicated buttons. The page orientation adjusts automatically according to whether the e-reader is held in the left or the right hand. The brightness of the 300 ppi screen adjusts automatically to the ambient light. The body is only 3.4 mm thick, is made of anodised aluminium and is to a great extent water-repellent.
