For the manufacture of this chain it was managed to do without commonly used, pollutive surface treatment processes such as electroplating or curing paints. Instead, the High-Density Plasma Ceramic Coating Technology (HDPCCT) was used. This technology avoids both hydrogen embrittlement and water pollution caused by electroplating. The resulting material offers very good anti-scratch properties, abrasion resistance and corrosion protection. Customers furthermore have a free choice of colours for this chain.
