This pendant luminaire was inspired by the idea of hoisting liquid glass, just like boats are hoisted from the water using a pulley (Finnish: Nosto). Accordingly, it consists of a glass lampshade, a lamp bulb, an aluminium sailing cleat and a nine-metre long sailing rope. The height of the pendant in the room can be changed by adjusting the rope without tools. The lamp bulb floats freely inside the glass shade, requiring no permanent attachment.
