The CST Platform solves the problem of staple malformation as experienced when using conventional surgical staplers. To eliminate the so-called piston effect which causes malformation, the device has been completely redesigned. Thanks to the new construction, compression of the tissue during the firing is eliminated, for it is captured flatly and evenly. In addition, the ergonomic layout of the handle has been improved in order to reduce the force required to operate the device. An automatic safety lock and acoustic signals provide additional safety.
