The woven outer material of these shoes is made entirely from recycled plastic. To source this material, used plastic bottles are cleaned, sanitised and cut into tiny particles. These particles are then melted and drawn into thread. By dying the plastic thread and only then weaving it into the top part of the shoe, the production process consumes less energy than traditional processes. The ergonomically moulded insole is made from soft, lightweight rubber.
