The design language of this transformation is very spare and excellent. Consistently using the same materials throughout the building gives a sense of permanence and elegance. The Guardian Life Building (on the northeast corner of Union Square, New York City) was transformed into a W Hotel. The design concepts were drawn from the cues and craftsmanship of the existing building and a mix of decorative arts.
