Cell-Cast is designed to utilize low-temperature thermoplastic and improves the overall healing experience for broken bones. Unlike traditional casts, it is lighter, easy-to-make, more breathable and waterproof, to treat patients comfortably. Current casts can smell, cause itching and rash and get wet. Cell-Cast's hollow and waterproof design leaves most of the skin exposed so patients can clean the injured area. Cell-Cast also is easily molded when heated and fits the patient better when being applied, then hardens to support broken bones. And instead of having to cut it was a noisy saw that can scare young patients, health workers simply can use a pair of pliers to remove Cell-Cast.
