The frame collection R 5191/5192/5193/5194 of the leading German eyewear manufacturer Rodenstock is characterised in particular by its striking full-area design in a frontal view interacting with low cross-sections in depth. This has been made possible by the use of new, extremely tough materials from the group of polyamides and by innovative design solutions: the design implementation of the temple joint and the deliberate lack of metal reinforcements in the temple joints give the models a continuous translucence. The silk-matte finish of the surface emphasises the general impression of light weight. The very slim profile of the frame means that light and thin lenses can be given visual prominence for the first time in plastic eyewear. The logical total concept is rounded off by the consistent colouring with monochrome colours in light to powerful shades.
