The floodlit top reflector has the appearance at night of a detached, floating disk. The light is directed by the reflector unit under the top reflector where it is redirected and distributed downwards as indirect light with a high level of uniformity. A small part of the light also emerges directly as shielded light. Reflector unit and top reflector form an enclosed system providing indirect and direct light through the clear plastic cone.
