The air preparation unit MS12 is the largest series in Festo's new modular standard service unit series that can be used in almost all industries. It has all common functions, such as filtration, air lubrication and safety functions. The high flow rate of these very large devices is rarely seen in pneumatics. Fields of application include central and decentralised compressed air supply and applications with very high air consumption. This includes larger machines, complete systems and assembly lines. The design emphasises the individual components. The unified design of the modules, with platforms above and below for function units, provides for a compact appearing unit. The clearly laid out components are also integrated visually into modern systems manufacturing. The colour blue is used for control elements.
