New Energy Chain® series for highly dynamic applications. The new igus® System E3 combines a small pitch, smooth and quiet operation, mechanical strength, ease of assembly and cost effectiveness, all in one. The spring connector replaces the pin/bore connection between links, avoiding any relative motion and wear at the joints. To save time on assembly, the spring connectors are not mounted individually, but on a band for ten Energy Chain® links. Also, opening and closing the Energy Chain® goes fast by "zipper bars on a thread". Individual band segments can be tied together for an "endless" band.
