Working together with a saddle manufacturer and veterinary surgeons, a totally new modular saddle concept was created. Designed around horses' anatomy and movement, the saddle is ergonomically suited for both horse and rider. The saddle has been developed as a new solution to the problem of injured horse spines due to the ergonomics of traditional saddles. The exchangeable seat part is the main feature of the system, offering the user an affordable range of saddles. The HECTOR saddle breaks new ground in a conservative product category by using new materials and industrial production techniques, thus shifting the product icon from old-fashioned – in terms of materials and appearance – into one conducive to the current world of high-performance materials and mass production, in a way that is reminiscent of what happened to ski, tennis and golf products decades ago.
