SKD developed and designed an innovative headset for mobile phones that would carry the Jabra’s product line into the future utilizing Bluetooth technology. SKD conducted an initial, in-depth user analysis that discovered the primary design challenge: there are no standard ear sizes. Now the design and development had a real world context that would help lead to the success of the product. Incorporating ergonomic studies, the design team implemented an extensive iterative process that resulted in an organic, flexible and unobtrusive form that conveys the cutting edge elegance of the technology it utilizes. The design incorporates soft, flexible elastomer material and posable armature to allow a perfect fit to be achieved by every user. The earpiece features the new ergonomic intra-aura MiniGel, an evolution of Jabra’s patented EarGel.
