The ultrasonic welding generator AGM (Advanced Generator Module) is designed for the operation of automated ultrasonic welding or cutting applications of plastics and synthetic textiles. Through digital inputs and outputs the AGM is completely controllable by the machine owned PLC (programmable logic control). Thanks to its practical construction and the easy wiring the generator can be assembled into control cabinets without any problems. Thus a separate decentral control of the ultrasonic system, as it has been customary so far with ultrasonic welding or cutting applications, is no more necessary. The communication with the PLC is carried out via the bus compatible serial interface RS485 and the standardised bus system CANopen which allow precise process monitoring and logging.
