The new EXTER K30 human-machine interface (HMI) is one of seven products extending Beijer Electronics’ EXTER series to smaller HMIs. The HMI facilitates operation and monitoring of applications such as machines and production lines in various industries. In its application the HMI is operated via key presses. The goal of the new design was to incorporate the EXTER series’ image in less space and with different display proportions, while maintaining user-friendliness and ergonomics. The diecast aluminum frame provides protection and also an elegant and professional look. Pushing the boundaries of foil printing technologies, 3D-effects on the front increase readability and help guide the operator’s eye. Materials were chosen to comply with tough industry standards such as CE, UL and DNV, as well as the environmental RoHS directives.
