In general, hinge part of a monitor had a very complicated mechanical structure. Syncmaster 732N/932B, however, could accomplish a very simple and effective hinge structure by applying a new material. Elastomer is used in this hinge structure, a joint shape of our body, in order to stimulate a user’s emotion through smooth angle control of a monitor, and its simplification of the parts and structure accomplishes (clean cut & soft surface) which represents our design concept. This hinge structure can be separated from a monitor so that the stand part of a monitor is packed in the back space of a monitor while being separated.
