The S 333 demonstrates that it is the next chapter in the Thonet success story in two ways. On the one hand, the tubular steel sledge is inspired by the cantilever principle that Thonet has perfected for chairs. The minimalist shape and minimum use of materials in conjunction with a clear, lightweight appearance is the second constant. The S 333 consists of just a few components: two runners at the side and a bar at the front of the seat that serves simultaneously as tension frame for the seat made of weather-resistant, open-mesh fabric.
