It is more effective and efficient if the designer is involved in the initial stages of the mobile phone concept. The KG320 was made with this philosophy in mind. With the focus on “simple” and “minimal”, inspiration was derived from a discarded piece of black marble in a construction zone. The marble was broken in two pieces, with one being shiny, and the other rough and dull; this stark contrast in the texture gave birth to the KG320.
