This vehicle platform facilitates access to city buses for people with special needs. When it is deactivated, it forms steps; in action, it becomes a platform. It was inspired by organic and futuristic forms combined with ergonomics. Earlier platforms were made of steel, but we have now used polymeric ABS for the column ends; this material is recyclable for improved sustainability.
