The 900 mm wide CG hob has five individually adjustable cooking zones. The induction coils beneath the ceramic surface quickly heat ingredients in steel pots. Induction hobs heat faster than gas and are also much easier to clean than gas hobs. The front of the ceramic hob features an approx. 35mm wide beveled area. This control panel includes the five "touchSliders" that regulate the hot plates. The oblong grid area is like a tactile guideway; the user sets the heat level by lightly sliding the touchSlider with the fingertip. Pressing 0 on the far left switches off the heating element, while pressing + on the far right sets it to high.
