It’s designed for use at joints in trapezoidal metal sheets, screw fastenings on air ducts and other applications using thin sheet metal. The screw is simply driven through the sheet metal. As no drilling is required and no metal cuttings are formed during the driving operation, corrosion around the screw hole is effectively prevented.
