By choosing to run through deserts or climb mountains, we subject our bodies to extremely diverse climate conditions. X-Technology has designed a new material to cope with such extremes – xitanit™. It adapts its function according to the temperature where it is being used: in colder conditions it reflects heat back to the body, like a rescue blanket. In hot conditions, it protects the body by deflecting radiation from the sun and the surrounding environment. Its design was inspired by the silvery fur of the desert fox. xitanit™ saves energy and helps to keep the body temperature at an optimum 37 °C. It also contains silver ions for bacteriostatic effects.
