Self-contained ceramic hobs usually feature touch controls. Power selection is usually by means of +/- buttons. A further development of these controls is “Direct Control Plus”. The desired power setting can be selected separately for each ring from a series of numbers. When switched off, only the On / Off and padlock buttons are visible, resulting in a very elegant and reticent design. When switched on, all necessary control buttons are illuminated. This solution for complex appliance controls offers low-key esthetics and the ultimate in user convenience.
