DURACON® 17A is a contact spring material featuring extreme hardness, extremely low bending radii and outstanding relaxation behavior without subsequent age-hardening. The ultra-low bending radii present new possibilities for economizing on materials and space. Contact elements made of DURACON® can be used in temperature ranges of up to 250 °C – an important requirement for connectors in proximity to engines and for hybrid technologies in the automotive sector. DURACON® 17A is a suitable replacement for beryllium copper. Free from beryllium, lead and other critical additions makes DURACON® 17A a highly environmentally compatible material.
