The Fortis City project is an advanced study into the future of the automobile in an urban environment and the role that tire technology will play in its development. The Fortis is a showcase for a new advanced tire laser etching system. This technology will improve the environmental capability of tires without sacrificing traditional performance aspects. At Kumho, the design of a tire does not exist in a vacuum and it is for this reason that we have looked at a future application for this new tire technology. The Fortis City project encapsulates the ideas that Kumho has for future technologies and their application to vehicles.
