Ames Tveir is a shell chair with a new look. The concept is a play between the organic shell, the curved backrest and the space between them. At first glance it looks as if the backrest has been cut out from the shell, but a closer look reveals that the two forms are different. The backrest applies comfortable support to the body while the shell serves the whole structure. The components can differ in material and finish allowing many different versions. Because of the "air" between the backrest and the shell the chair elegantly frames the person sitting on it. Every new angle creates a different interesting form.
