The Norit MegaBlock is the sludge separating part of a large Membrane Bio Reactor (MBR) system for municipal wastewater. The membrane separation results in crystal clear, bacteria free water. Most MBR’s are built up from conventional stainless-steel pipe-fitting solutions, which make them very costly. The Norit MBR is transformed into an almost “Lego-Style” modular product, which can be very easily installed and expanded. Parts are made using injection- and rotational molding from recyclable plastics. Manufacturing cost is reduced by 50%. Due to advanced component design, fluid flow and aeration are improved, resulting in unprecedented performance.
