The FR/FX46 is a digital edge sensor, utilized when processing web materials of the type encountered in the print industry. Ultrasonic and infrared light sensors are employed for contact-free detection of web edges, thus enabling continuous adjustment or guiding of the web position in control circuits. Plastic with a nickel surface is used as a housing material to meet the strict conductivity requirements governing voltage flashover.
