Concept: Office workers often have their hands full, carrying documents, files, cell phones and a variety of other items, making the typical elevator switch designs rather inconvenient. Taking the elevator can become a source of agitation when workers do not have their hands free to press a button, and the likelihood of dropping things increases. To solve this problem, switches with LED light sensors could be installed to allow people to operate elevators using their feet. As you wait for your elevator, you could easily control the switch with your foot. This solution would also decrease the spread of bacteria.
