The IBM System x3530 M4 is a scalable rack server design that delivers dual-socket performance with a compact 1U footprint. It features front-accessible I/O ports, newly designed smaller quick-release latches on both sides and a floating IBM logo. The hexagonal vent pattern on the top is inherently better for airflow and adds a pleasing texture to the sheet-metal panel. A series of sculptured 2.5” hot-swap hard disk handles create a dramatic look when several servers are stacked. A newly designed front-accessible, drop-down light path diagnostic panel provides an efficient way to monitor the components’ status.
