SIMOTICS FD motors in the power range from 200 kW up to over 1.6 MW form the basis for a cost-effective overall system comprising motor and inverter. They can address a wide range of applications as a result of their modularity. The cast iron enclosure reflects the typical characteristics of Siemens industrial design and continues this in the new generation. The design concept is a synthesis of ruggedness and elegance. Beveled and contoured surfaces on the enclosure and terminal box have been designed to give a dynamic appearance. All of the cooling elements are completely integrated and an inherent part of the overall design.
