An archetype with a twist: the seat of this chair by Bertjan Pot is made of 3D formed, ultra thin veneer. The design uses this technique in a new way, namely as part of the construction. The Buzz is a good example of sparing use of materials: the 3D veneer molded shell is strong and durable and made with relatively little wood. A tubular aluminum frame supports the elegant seat and this material combination makes the chair extremely light. The materials used and contemporary colors provide a fresh image that is still clearly recognizable and refers to an archetype chair. The Buzz is a flexible chair: light, easy to handle and stackable.
