Xperia™ Z2 Tablet takes on the OmniBalance design, which creates a perfectly symmetrical device that feels comfortable and lightweight no matter in which direction you hold the tablet. We wanted to create a tablet that feels comfortable in your hand and by combining the thin shape and the simple expression we made the device feel more rigid with a premium look. To achieve this, the number of parts was minimized by molding the backside and the side together. The backside is made of thin sheet of fiberglass and by insert-molding it into the plastic frame creates a seamless shape without any split between the side-parts and backside.
