Over the past 30 years, Porsche Design has created many outstanding design icons – most of them in the color black, such as the first black wristwatch in the world. BOROS designed the calendar for 2014 from this artistic idea. Each month addresses the power of the color black with a quote; each month addresses the sensuality of the color black with a different materiality. The fanned out stringing together of the calendar sheets demonstrates that black is not black. Haptic, texture, gloss and faintness, reflection and materiality create a physical depth and pronounce the concrete quality of the color black.
