25 years after the Berlin Wall came down, the interest for the Documents of the State Security Service of the DDR (Stasi) is unabated. With its online media library, the Federal Commissioner for the Records of the State Security Service (BStU) offers a glimpse in the former secret police's vast archives. Our concept, based on semantic connections, allows users to explore content on an intellectual as well as emotional level. The library currently offers 2,500 pages of documents, 250 historic images and hours of audio and video recordings – with responsive design making these optimally accessible on desktop, tablet and smartphone.
