Desiro High Capacity is an innovative platform for commuter trains, combining the advantages of single-deck motor cars and double-deck middle cars to create more space for passengers. The main goal of the development was to enhance comfort for all passengers and to create a continuous design for exterior and interior. The dynamic frontend lends face to this unique concept. Aerodynamics are optimized to reduce energy consumption, supported also by lightweight design. The passengers will enjoy easy access, multi-purpose areas in each car, differentiated zones of residence and a pleasant ambiance. RRX is the first customer for this product.
