Total Appearance Capture (TAC™) is a ground-breaking technology that enables the creation of virtual renderings with the same optical characteristics as the real material. TAC7 captures and stores a physical material’s color, texture, gloss and other surface appearance characteristics as an Appearance exchange File (AxF). AxF files can be shared across PLM, CAD and rendering applications to create a new level of realism in virtual designs.
